Mark Douglas Reding, 64, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, following a short battle with cancer. A Celebration of Life will be held 1 - 4 p.m. Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Rumors Bar & Grill, 400 F Avenue NW, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Mark was born June 17, 1954, the son of Clarence W. and Joan (Butschi) Reding. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1972 and was a carpenter his entire life. He married Cheryl Ann Mefford on August 4, 1979, in Marion, Iowa. Mark was a jack of all trades who loved NASCAR, the Iowa Hawkeyes and his family and friends.
Mark is survived by his wife, Cheryl and pet, DJ; siblings, Bev (Terry) Elbert, Steve Reding, Deb Spain, Sherrie (Bob) Justin, Darlene (Dave) Frith, and Renee Reding (Bob); in-laws, Don Culver, Judy (Gary) Stoner, Dick (Sharon) Mefford, Bill (Cindy) Mefford, Marcia May, Pat Mefford, Carol Kauffman, and Jim (Deb) Mefford; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Joan; and sister, Connie Culver.
