Martha "Marty" J. Williams
January 21, 1955 — November 2, 2005
Martha "Marty? JoAnn Foarde Williams, 50, of 525 23rd Street NE, Cedar Rapids, died November 2, 2005, at University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics, Iowa City, following complications of an aneurysm. Funeral Mass: 9:30 a.m. Saturday, November 5, 2005, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, by Father Ivan Neinhaus. The family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 4, 2005, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids where a vigil service will begin at 7:00 p.m. Entombment: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her daughter, Megan Williams, at home; her father, Joseph Foarde of Cedar Rapids; two brothers, Francis (Kara) Foarde, their children, Alex and Adam, David (Margaret) Foarde, their children, McKenna, Jack and Sammy, all of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Lori (Greg) Bredl, their children Matthew, Joseph, Sean and Marin of Cedar Rapids; a niece, Amy (Jim) Wesphal, their children Jaymeson and Kamryn; many aunts and uncles; and lots of cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lois; and two brothers, Alan and William.
Marty was born January 21, 1955, the daughter of Joseph and Lois (Leonard) Foarde, in Anamosa, Iowa. She graduated from Washington High School in 1973. For 13 years, Marty has worked for PCI Urology. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Marty will always be remembered for her big smile and zest for life. She was a wonderful mom, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many.
