Mary Kay Bars, 61, of 2506 Illinois Street SW, Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, July 28, 2004, in her home, following a short illness. Services: 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 2004, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Del Bear. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 30, 2004, at the funeral home.
Survivors include her mother, Margaret Tolbert of Victor; a brother, John (Pat) Bulten of Alburnett; a half-brother, Mark Tolbert of Victor; and friend, Bill Achey.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Mary Kay was born January 18, 1943, the daughter of John and Margaret Tolbert Bulten, in Marion, Iowa. She owned and operated a delivery service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in memory of Mary Kay.
