Mary Elizabeth Meyers (Rader), 66, a resident of Westover Manor, Cedar Rapids, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2007, after a sudden illness. Memorial services: 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 9, 2007, at Believers in Grace Fellowship, Marion, by the Rev. Bill Randles. Burial: Dunkard Cemetery, Toddville, Iowa. Arrangements are by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion.
Survivors include her children, Jerry (Deanna) Meyers of Covington, David (Bobbi) Meyers of Mt. Vernon, John Meyers of Cedar Rapids, and Cheryl Fortmann of Cedar Rapids; and a brother, Joe (Nancy) Johnson of Charles City. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren; Eric, Ronald, Jennifer, Dallas, Samantha, Jordan and Daren; and 2 great-grandchildren, Emaline and Trey;
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, a daughter, Pamela; and a brother, Mike.
Mary was born the daughter of Edwin and Florence (Rosauer) Johnson on March 6, 1941, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She married Merlyn Meyers on April 15, 1963. He died in 1993. Mary was previously employed at Souvenir.
