Mary Arlene Wagner Reilly, 83, of the Iowa Veteran?s Home, Marshalltown, Iowa, and formerly of 1329 Highway 13, S.E., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Thursday, April 15, 2004, after a long illness, at the Iowa Veteran?s Home. Funeral Mass: 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2004, at All Saint?s Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. David O?Connor. Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today (Friday) at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, where a Scripture Wake Service will begin at 7 p.m.

She is survived by 12 children, Mary Sue Freese of Clarence, Iowa, Lawrence Reilly of Waterloo, Iowa, John Reilly of Solon, Iowa, Dennis Reilly of Marshalltown, Iowa, Joan Reilly Wildfield of Bellingham, Washington, Daniel Reilly of Monroe, Wisconsin, Steven Reilly of Jamestown, Ohio, Teresa Clark of Farmington, Minnesota, and Kevin Reilly, Beth Reilly Smothers, Mark Reilly and Michael Reilly all of Cedar Rapids; her siblings, Alberta Bernherd of Reno, Nevada, Edward Wagner of Centerville, Iowa, and Winifred Hoffman of Cedar Rapids.

Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Daniel L. Reilly, a daughter, Patricia Reilly Brogan; a brother, Lowell Wagner; and a sister, Sister Mary Audrey Wagner.

Mary was born February 7, 1921, in Portsmouth, Iowa, to Sylvia Elder and Henry Wagner. She graduated with honors from St. Francis High School in Council Bluffs, Iowa, in 1938. She married Daniel L. Reilly on November 21, 1942, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids.

She was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed special times with her children, grandchildren and pets. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, crocheting, sewing and photography. Mary was active in ARC, All Saints Catholic Church and their annual bazaar. Mary was dearly loved by her family and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
