Matthew Brian Keeler

Matthew Brian Keeler, of Marion, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 22, 2026. He was 22 years old. He was born June 22, 2003, in Okinawa, Japan.

Matt loved with his whole heart, and showed it in small, quiet ways. His goal in life was to be able to take care of his sisters. He was known for his love of all things Spidey, Transformers, and Legos, and shared that with his nieces and nephews. He mirrored his father’s work ethic and integrity and shared his love for an adventure. He had recently found his dream job as a motorcycle salesman at McGrath Powersports and was beginning to find his own path and who he wanted to be.

He is survived by his parents, Brian and Meagan Keeler; his sisters, Bethany Keeler (Aaron Scofield) and Caitlin Keeler (Chase Coblentz); his grandparents, Russel and Cynthia Keeler and Rosanne Wick; and his nieces and nephews, Clara, Isaiah, Ezra, and Sedona.

A Celebration of Matt’s life will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 30, 2026, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, with Certified Celebrant, Amy Hart officiating. Immediately following the service, the family will greet friends and family at the Marion American Legion Post 298, located at 625 31st Street, in Marion. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date at the Lone Tree Cemetery in Lone Tree, Iowa.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Matt’s memory will be designated later.
