Michael MacKenzie

Michael MacKenzie, 81, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Saturday, May 23, 2026. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids assisted the family.

Michael grew up in Michigan before leaving to travel for work. He worked as a project manager for several large construction outfits, including Bechtel, and was a master plumber and pipefitter. Michael also worked for the City of Cedar Rapids for several years as a construction contracts administrator, and as a maintenance manager at Cottage Grove before retiring.

Survivors include his wife, Linda; his children, Mike (Connie), Art (Michelle), Kris (Kim), Susan (Kevin), and Shawnna (Mark); several grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and his brother, Frank MacKenzie, Jr.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Eunice MacKenzie.
