Mildred 'Millie' Henry

Mildred “Millie” Henry, 70, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Sunday, December 5, 2021. A funeral service will take place at 3. p.m. on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Victorious Life Church, 1155 Grande Avenue, Marion, Iowa 52302, with a visitation one hour prior. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids is assisting the family.
Millie was born May 12, 1951, in Midnight, Mississippi, the daughter of Love Harris and Fanny Watkins. She attended high school and went on to graduate from Kennedy-King College with a degree in Theater Tech. On November 17, 1982, Millie was united in marriage to Willie “Bill” Henry Sr., in Cedar Rapids. She worked at the Hiawatha Care Center. Millie was a member of the Alpha Beta Kappa Sorority.
Survivors include her children, Sonya Watkins of Chicago, LaSherryl Watkins of Cedar Rapids, Kilroy Watkins of Chicago, Henry Watkins, Billy Dee Watkins, both of Cedar Rapids, Gloria Watkins of Chicago, and David Henry of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bill Henry, Sr.
