Mildred L. "Midge? (Bisbee) Philiph, 75, of 3030 15th Ave., Marion, died Thursday, May 25, 2006, in St. Luke?s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, after a brief illness. Memorial Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2006, at Christ Community Church in Marion, Iowa, by Pastor Tom Parrott and Pastor Becky High. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Private Inurnment: Waterloo Cemetery in Waterloo, Iowa. Arrangements are with Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-four years, Jim; a son, Brian Philiph (Marta Holub) of Robins, Iowa; two grandchildren, Jessie Philiph and Stefanie Underwood, both of Cedar Rapids; a great-granddaughter, Michelle Raue; two brothers, Francis Bisbee and Rex (Mary) Bisbee, all of Waterloo; a sister, Lois Clute of Cedar Falls; and many nieces and nephews.
Midge was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ben and Ernest Bisbee; three sisters, Ruth, Evelyn and Jean; and a great-grandson, Brock.
Born October 21, 1930, in Waterloo, Midge was the daughter of William and Lillian (Wright) Bisbee. On May 4, 1952, she was united in marriage to James L. Philiph. Midge worked as a secretary at Waterloo Steel and Equipment Company and Link Belt Speeder. She was a member of Christ Community Church in Marion.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to everyone who helped care for Midge. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
