Milo E. Gericke, 91, of Walker, Iowa, died Thursday, May 14, 2026. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Walker Cemetery, Walker.

Milo was born July 24, 1934, in Buchanan County, Iowa, the son of Fred and Thelma (Kirkpatrick) Gericke. He was united in marriage to Norma Shaffer on June 7, 1953, at the Methodist Church in Walker. Milo was a self-employed farmer, welder, and machinist. During the 1970s and 1980s, he was actively involved with Walker Bible Church, where he taught Sunday School and drove the Sunday School bus. Milo enjoyed polka music and buying and selling machinery.

Survivors include his son, Mike (Barb) Gericke of Texas; six grandchildren, John (Jody), Karen (Matt), Michelle, Steven, Cory and Carissa; his great-grandchildren, Nathan, Abby, CeCe, Rowen, Jameson, Akira, and Alexis; and his brothers, Dale and Bill Gericke.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Thelma Gericke; his wife, Norma Gericke; his son, Dennis Gericke; his daughter, Mary Jo Carlson; his brothers, Paul, Merle, and Kenneth; and his sisters, Marge and Doris.
