Milo L. Wiele, 90, of Fairfax, Iowa, and a long time resident of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, May 22, 2009, in Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Gathering for family and friends will be from 2 to 5 p.m., Saturday, May 30, 2009, at their residence. Inurnment: Linwood Mausoleum.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Dolores; children, Susan (Mike) Moses of Cedar Rapids and Sharon (Cal) Bjornson of Pemberton, Minnesota; and grandchildren, Steven (Michelle) Moses, Jamie (Tracy) Moses, Lauri Mitchell and Deron (Tina Kelly) Myers.
Also surviving are great grandchildren, Mariah Myers, Anthony Mitchell, Rebecca Mitchell, Addie Kelly, Allyson Moses, Madelyn Moses, Taylor Moses and Tanner Moses.
Milo was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Norma Schiovoni, Paul Wiele, Wayne Wiele and Roger Wiele.
Born October 5, 1918, in Burlington, Iowa, Milo was the son of Samuel and Louise (Storezback) Wiele. Milo was the purchasing agent of Lattner Manufacturing, retiring after 48 ½ years.
Milo enjoyed woodworking, especially making Christmas decorations and gardening. He was also an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed playing poker with his friends.
