Nancy Jeanne (Larrison) Clinton-Ross, 77, of Waterloo, Iowa, passed away on November 19, 2025, at her home. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Burial will take place at Linwood Cemetery in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, assisted the family
Nancy was born on October 9, 1948, in New Castle, Indiana, the daughter of James and Sylvia (McDaniel) Larrison. She graduated in 1966 from Chrysler High School in New Castle. Nancy married Robert Lawson in 1967; the couple later divorced. She then married Homer “Jack” Clinton in 1971, and they also later divorced. On November 10, 2003, Nancy married Ed Ross, and they shared 33 wonderful years together.
Nancy was a homemaker and worked as a typesetter for the Citizen Herald newspaper in Jesup, Iowa, where she also wrote a weekly column. She gained additional experience as a meat wrapper at Schares Food Mart in Jesup and Fleagle Foods in Waterloo. Nancy and Jack also owned and operated a Christian bookstore from their home in Jesup. She was a member of Church of the Nazarene in New Castle, Indiana, Oskaloosa Nazarene Church (Gateway) in Oskaloosa, Iowa, Sunnyside Church in Waterloo, Iowa, and Heartland Vineyard Church, Waterloo, Iowa.
Nancy made friends everywhere she went, loved her family and her faith, and was loved endlessly by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Ed Ross of Waterloo; three children, Melyssa (Steve) Dunne of Walden, New York, Sara (Justin) Clair of Madelia, Minnesota, and Lucas Clinton (Cimber Miller) of Marshalltown, Iowa; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Patty (Keith) Showalter of Bucyrus, Ohio; mother-in-law, Joan Ross of Cedar Rapids and Earl (Dawn) Ross of Hudson, Iowa; stepdaughter, Michelle Tinsley of Cedar Rapids; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Nancy was preceded by her parents, James & Sylvia Larrison; half-brother, Ertle Moore, Jr.; former husband, Jack Clinton; sister in-law, Beth Dunkel; brother-in-law, John Ross and father-in-law, Clark Ross.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Cedar Valley Hospice of Waterloo for their compassionate care.
