Nobuko “Kay” Lindley, 95, of Central City, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Pinicon Place in Anamosa, Iowa. A Graveside Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, July 27, 2026, at North Boulder Cemetery in Prairieburg, Iowa. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Marion is assisting the family.
Kay was born on March 31, 1931, in Okinawa, Japan, the daughter of Kimsuka Shiroma and Kang Moromizuto. In 1961, Kay was united in marriage to Irvin Eugene “Bones” Lindley. Together, they raised three children and worked side by side for many years in the family business, Lindley Meat Processing in Marion. Kay will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Kay is survived and lovingly remembered by her two children; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son; and a granddaughter.
