Norma Marie Helmrich, 92, of Manchester, died Thursday, November 3, 2011 at her home. Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 7, 2011 at Manchester United Methodist Church by Rev. Mike Druhl. Visitation: 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester. Burial: Oakland Cemetery, Manchester.
Survivors include her husband, Bob; children, Patricia Ann Helmrich of Manchester and Lois ( Gail) Casey of Atlantic, Iowa; she also raised, Allan Manson of Edgewood, and David Manson of Fonda. Also surviving are grandchildren: Tim Casey of Iowa City and Anita (Tim) Casey- Reed of Bismarck, North Dakota, and two great grandchildren Joe and Sofia Reed. Siblings: Bill (Joan) Manson, Jim (Catherine) Manson, Vanita (Walter) Clendennen, Joyce (Carl) Hauschild all of Manchester; in-laws: Dottie Helmrich, Doris (Dale) Pettlon and JoAnn Harris.
She was preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers and sisters: Eileen Satterlee, Bud Manson, Margie Arbegust, Dean Manson, Gerald Manson, Hubert Manson, Ronald Manson, and in-laws Merle Helmrich, Dorothy Manson, and Hazel Coleman.
Norma was born July 4, 1919 in Manchester, the daughter of Will and Ulla (Anderson) Manson. She attended Manchester Schools. Norma married Bob Helmrich on December 10, 1945 in Delaware, Iowa.
Norma enjoyed time with her family and extended family, raising flowers and gardening.
