Norma J. Steele, 67, of 511 Greenfield St. NE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Wednesday, July 11, 2007, in Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, following a long illness. Services: 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2007, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Del Bear. The family will greet friends from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service, Saturday, July 14, 2007, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Norma is survived by her son, Bob (Marian) Steele of Culloden, West Virginia; daughter, Vikki (Don) Trueblood of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; brothers and sisters, Betty Flowers, Geneva Crabtree, Bill (Shirley) Costlow, Hank (Beth) Costlow, Barbara Parsons and Shirley (Howard) Meek all from Columbus, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harvey Steele; a brother, George Costlow, Jr.; and a sister, Connie Skyes.
Norma was born January 23, 1940, in Lockborn, Ohio, the daughter of George and Florence (Wishon) Costlow. On January 10, 1957, Norma was united in marriage to Harvey Steele in Lockborn, Ohio. He died October 13, 2005. She enjoyed bingo and was a member of the Moose Lodge in Nitro, West Virginia.
