Norman C. Degro, 93, a resident of Higley Mansion, died there Sunday, August 12, 2007. In accordance with his wishes there will be no visitation or services. Burial: Ridgeway Cemetery, Schley, Iowa. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.
Norman was born November 10, 1913, the son of Charles and Mary (Vrba) Degro in Schley, Iowa.
Survivors include his sister, Irene Elkins of Napa, California; a special niece, Terri Elliott of Oakland, California; cousins, Ann and Angela Svoboda, Mildred Speers and Philomena Sterns; and other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Viola Petersen and Ella Miller; and a brother, Charles Degro.
