Norman Lee "Pyle? Opfer, 51, of 837 - 44th St. SE, Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, November 28, 2004, in his home following a long illness. Friends may visit with the family from 2 - 4 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 1, 2004) at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion. His body was cremated and burial will be at a later date.
Survivors include his daughter, Megan May of Cedar Rapids; his companion, Abbie Andrews of Cedar Rapids; a brother, John (Carol) Opfer of Kalamazoo, Michigan; a sister, Beverly (Lyle) Spinler of Marion; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Deborah Reinhold.
Norman was born October 1, 1953, to Norman R. and Lucille "Lucy? Carpenter Opfer in Anamosa, Iowa.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
