Pamela Sue Fisher, 50, of Tiffin, Iowa, died of complications from a stroke at St. Luke?s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on February 21, 2007. SERVICE TIMES HAVE CHANGED....PLEASE NOTE! Pamela Sue Fisher was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on August 24, 1956. She was the adopted daughter of Joe and Marianne Klinsky of Ames, Iowa. Pamela graduated from City High, Iowa City, Iowa, in 1974. She attended Kirkwood Community College and received a Certified Nurse?s Assistant Certificate in 1977 and the Certified Medi- Aide Certificate in 1986. Pam married John Fisher in Washington, Iowa in 1982. She was employed at the Washington Care Center, at the United Presbyterian Home in Washington, Iowa, and Lantern Park in Iowa City. Pamela lived at Manor Care in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, for the last eight years of her life due to incapacitating strokes.
Survivors include her partner, Rufus Bender; her parents, Joe and Marianne Klinsky; and her brothers, Joseph Dennis of Clarksburg, Ontario and Ronald Gary of Spencer.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Janice Ellen.
Pamela realized the growing need for working with the elderly and handicapped and demonstrated qualities of caring for them with skill, dedication, love and patience. She enjoyed needlework, was a member of Women?s Bowling Leagues, a member of the YWCA and Rainbow Girls. She was very fond of her pets and often had a dog and two cats.
