Pamela S. Manos, 54, of Urbana, Iowa, formerly of Canton, Ohio, died Wednesday, March 29, 2006, in her residence, after fighting a courageous battle against ALS. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 3, 2006, at St. Mary?s Catholic Church, Urbana, by Father Gabriel Anderson. The family will greet friends from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 1, 2006, and from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 2, 2006, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point. Burial: St. Mary?s Catholic Cemetery, Urbana, Iowa.
Survivors include her husband, Harry Manos III; a son, Mark Manos and fiancé, Crystal Brehm; a daughter, Nicole Manos, all of Urbana, Iowa; a stepson, Harry (Katie) Manos IV of Bay Village, Ohio; her mother, Wilma Sunderhaus of Ottawa, Ohio; two sisters, Janice (Louis) Sunderhaus of Lima, Ohio, and Ann (Jeff) Korte of Kalida, Ohio; five brothers, Michael (Connie) Sunderhaus of Ottawa, Ohio, Stephen (Elaine) Sunderhaus of Ottawa, Ohio, Gregory (Roberta) Sunderhaus of Genera, Ohio, Jeffrey Sunderhaus of Belle Center, Ohio, and Brian (Salena) Sunderhaus of Vaughnsville, Ohio; a stepgrandchild, Nina Manos; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Sunderhaus.
Pamela was born April 11, 1951, the daughter of Frank and Wilma (Hoehn) Sunderhaus, in Urbana, Ohio. In November of 1984, in Canton, Ohio she married Harry Manos III. For 34 years, she worked with G.E. Capitol. Pamela taught Sunday school for five years at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Canton, Ohio and was a member of the St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Urbana, Iowa. She also was a member of the Catholic Ladies of Columbia and Catholic Daughters of America. Pamela enjoyed sharing and working in her beautiful gardens with her friends. She also loved crafts and hosting dinner parties.
