Patricia Ann Moorman

Patricia “Patty” Ann Moorman, 82, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Harmony House in Cedar Rapids. In agreement with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service is being planned for a later date at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. Details about the service will be published online when they are finalized. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Marion is assisting the family.

Patricia was born on November 11, 1943, in Anamosa, Iowa, the only child of Owen and Bernadette (Rheault) McMahon. She was a 1963 graduate of Springville High School and went on to attend a business college in Cedar Rapids. On June 24, 1983, Patty was united in marriage to Jerome “Jerry” Moorman at St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. She worked in the banking industry for several years, until her retirement. Patty loved cooking and enjoyed playing BINGO. She always had a special place in her heart for all animals, including her beloved pets. Patty will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Patty is survived and lovingly remembered by several cousins, including Kathie Bading and her husband, Vincent, and Natalie Fisher and her husband, Brad, and their children, Autumn and Peyton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and beloved husband of 16 years, Jerry, in 1999.
