Pat was born on December 30, 1938, in Monticello, Iowa. She attended St. Patrick’s High School in Cedar Rapids, where her strong faith and sense of community were shaped early in life. It was also in Cedar Rapids where she met the love of her life, Kenneth “Ken” Enneking. Pat and Ken were married on August 3, 1957, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids—a marriage that would become the foundation of a family legacy built on love, commitment, and unwavering support for one another. Pat worked for many years at Warehouse Market and Econo Foods, where her warmth and genuine interest in others quickly turned customers into friends. She had a natural way of connecting with people, and many of those relationships carried on long after her working years. Even today, there are still friendships from that time that remained close to her heart. Following retirement, Pat continued to give back wherever she could. She remained actively involved in her community, including helping with funeral lunches at St. Joseph’s, always ready to lend a hand and offer comfort to others during difficult times.

Above all else, Pat was devoted to family. Everything she did, every relationship she nurtured, every kindness she offered—was rooted in love, togetherness, and caring for others.

Pat is survived and lovingly remembered by her sons, Craig (Ann) Enneking of Iowa City, Iowa, and Eric (Carol) Enneking of Houston, Texas; son-in-law, John (Vicki) Huntington of Hiawatha, Iowa; grandchildren, Megan (Matt Ian) Enneking of Santa Monica, California, Kyle Enneking of Marion, Alyssa Enneking and Jessi Enneking, both of Houston, Texas, Mitchell (Rachel) Huntington of Hiawatha, and Haley (Peter) Huntington of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by her cherished great-grandchildren, Marlo Ian of Santa Monica, Penelope Huntington and Lincoln Huntington of Hiawatha, and Brooke Owens and Ivan Owens of Houston; as well as her sisters, Ruth Gearhart of Cedar Rapids, and Jean Murtha of Victor, Iowa; and a host of extended family members including countless nieces and nephews and many in-laws.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Enneking; daughter, Lisa (Enneking) Huntington; parents, Ralph and Mae (O’Connell) Gearhart; brothers, Allen (Betty) Gearhart, Ralph (Velma) Gearhart, and Charles (Amy) Gearhart; sisters, Mary Margaret (Roger) Basemann, Velma (Walter “Sonny”) Loeffler, Dorothy (Wayne) Tipton, Grace (John) DeRycke, and Clara “Sharon” Gearhart; brother in law, James Murtha; parents-in-law, Alphonse and Margaret (Ketter) Enneking; and her siblings-in-law, Billie Enneking and Ralph Copeland.

Pat’s life was a testament to love, family, faith, and quiet generosity. Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished and the countless lives she touched.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Mercy Hospital, Mercy Hospice, and especially the entire staff at The Views of Marion for the exceptional care, compassion, and dignity they provided to Pat—particularly in her final days. Your kindness meant more than words can express and will never be forgotten.
