Patricia Ann Madden Schneekloth, 59, of Newhall, Iowa, passed away, Saturday, July 14, 2007, after a long battle with multiple diseases and cancer. Memorial Service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2007, at St. Ludmilla's Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, by Father Tom McDermott. The family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Burial: St. John's Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her daughters, Tami Koopman Rathje & Tim and Jennie Vajgrt &
John, both of Atkins; her son, L. J. II & Holli of Marengo; her father, Henry Madden of Cedar Rapids; sisters, Janet Breiner & Jim of Cedar Rapids and Teresa Madden Knipp & Rod of Elberon; a brother, Tony Madden of Marion; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandson; many nieces and nephews; her ex-husband after 28 years and father of their children, Larry Schneekloth; and many, many “special friends.”
She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Madden, December, 2006; son-in-law, Tracey Koopman; two sisters, Mary Joss and Carol Hawk; a brother, Tim Madden; and her sister-in-law, Jonie Madden.
Pat was born August, 11, 1947, to Henry and Shirley Madden in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was an active member of the Lofty Lady Bugs Red Hatters, the Moose Lodge Chapter Cedar Rapids 515, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 788, and the Eagles Club Aerie #2272. Pat spent many years as a cosmetologist in her shop, “Pat's Korner Kut” and as co-owner of the Newhall Bowlium in Newhall. Most recently, she was employed part-time at Dollar General Store.
The family wishes to give a very special thanks to the Newhall First Responders, Hospice of Mercy and Father Tom McDermott.
A memorial fund has been established in memory of Pat.
A luncheon will follow the services at Moose Lodge, 1820 West Post Rd. SW, Cedar Rapids.
