Paul D. Chiafos

Paul D. Chiafos, 87, of Marion passed away peacefully on Monday, September 24, 2018, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, following a courageous battle with lung cancer. In agreement with Paul’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 – 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion. Paul will be laid to rest with his mother at Linwood Cemetery in Cedar Rapids, at a later date.
Paul was born June 24, 1931, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Peter and Helen (Herington) Chiafos.
He is survived and lovingly remembered by a host of family and friends.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.
