Philomena Blofield Sterns, 93, of Marion, formerly of Central City, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at Crestview Acres in Marion. A private family graveside service will be Monday, January 8, 2018.
Philomena was born May 11, 1924, in rural Linn County, the daughter of Frank and Anne (Vrba) Svoboda. She married Lloyd Blofield who passed away in 1985. She later married Leonard Sterns who passed away in 2008.
She is survived by her children, Alan Blofield and Cheryl Olson; two grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Angela Svoboda.
Philomena was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Lloyd Blofield and Leonard Sterns; and two sisters, Ann and Mildred.
