Ray A. Stow, 81, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The family will greet friends from 4 - 7 p.m. on Monday, November 3, 2025, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids, where an additional one-hour visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion.

Ray was born in Winona, Minnesota, the son of Hale and Emgert (Stephan) Stow. He was a graduate of Winona High School and went on to attend VoTech in Winona. On May 11, 1963, Ray was united in marriage to Joyce Obieglo in Winona. Together, they had two sons. Ray’s career with Rockwell Collins spanned over 37 years in the Electronics/Aerospace departments. He was a member of the St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, where he also served as an usher for over 50 years. Ray will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Ray is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Joyce Stow; two sons, Allen (Kathy) Stow and Bryan (Noelle) Stow; grandchildren, Christian (Kaylee) Stow, Nicholas Stow, and Michael (Taryn) Stow; and great-grandchildren, Maya and Elijah.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Donald and John Stow.

Memorials in Ray’s memory may be directed to his family or St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids.
