Rebecca Jean Cravens

Rebecca Jean Cravens, 82, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Per her request, cremation has taken place, and a memorial service is pending at Marion Methodist. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion is assisting the family.

Rebecca was born on January 6, 1943, in Rochelle, Illinois, to Eugene and Peggy (Collier) Wilkinson. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design.

She was dedicated to her church, Marion Methodist, where she loved to volunteer. Her pride in her faith and her church was evident. She possessed remarkable talent and skill in arts and crafts, particularly with watercolors. Additionally, she enjoyed volunteering with the Special Olympics.

Rebecca is survived by her daughter, Jessica (Paul) Hemenway; grandchildren, Eva Hemenway and Austin Hemenway; and siblings, Jane O’Neal, David Wilkinson, and Robert Wilkinson.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Special Olympics Iowa or Make-A-Wish Iowa.
