Rebecca Jo "Becky" (Danly) Sawyer

Rebecca Jo “Becky” (Danly) Sawyer, 66, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Tuesday, February 10, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones after a long illness. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Burial: Center Point Cemetery, Center Point, Iowa. Becky was born March 21, 1959, in Cedar Rapids, to Richard “Dick” and JoAnn (Hagerman) Danly. She graduated from Jefferson High School with the Class of 1977. She married David Sawyer in June 1987 at Kenwood Park Presbyterian Church in Cedar Rapids. Becky dedicated 30 years to Rockwell Collins, working in the mail room. She enjoyed trips to local casinos. Above all, she treasured the time she spent with her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, David Sawyer of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; her son, Kurtis Cornell (Corina) of Lisbon, Iowa; her mother, JoAnn Danly of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; her sister, Chris (Dave) Pease of Walker, Iowa; her sister-in-law, Teresa Danly of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; her niece, Melissa (Chad) Danly; her nephews, Daniel (Nicole) Pease and Tanner (Haley) Pease; her lifelong friend, Karen (Lynn) Kruse of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dick Danly; her brother, Rick Danly; and her nephew, Ryan Danly.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Hospice Care Team at Allen Hospital in Waterloo for their loving care of Becky.
