Regina "Gina" Susan Williams

Regina “Gina” Susan Williams, 80, of Hiawatha, Iowa, died Saturday, September 19, 2026. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 25, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Hiawatha, with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Entombment will take place at a later date at Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids, is assisting the family.

Gina was born March 27, 1946, in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (McDermott) Ryan. She graduated from Mt. St. Clare Academy in Clinton. On May 21, 1976, Gina married Christopher Claude Williams in Cedar Rapids. She worked for Principal Financial Group as a health claims supervisor for 30 years before retiring in 2007. Gina was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, the Grasshopper Golf Group, and the Retired Women’s Golf League. She also enjoyed playing pickleball, bocce ball and traveling. Above all, Gina treasured the time she spent with her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Christopher Williams; her children, Lisa Edmonson, Greg Williams, and Ryan Williams; her grandchildren, Megan, Logan, and Kiera; her great-grandchildren, Sunny and Finn; her brothers, Marty (Pat) Ryan and Joe Ryan; and her sister, Teresa Lynch.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Larry Ryan and Denny Ryan; and her sister, Lourdes McGrath.
