Regina “Jeanne” Kazimour Moeller Pisarik was born on January 8, 1929, at her Babi’s home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and went home to the Lord on January 14, 2026.

She was the daughter of John and Mary (Stodola) Kazimour and grew up in a close-knit Czech family. Raised on her parents’ farm and apple orchard, Regina learned the value of hard work early. She attended St. Wenceslaus School, where she was a cheerleader and played basketball, graduating in 1947.

After high school, Regina worked as a dental assistant in downtown Cedar Rapids and enjoyed evenings at Danceland with her sister Helen. A blind date led her to Earl Moeller, whom she married in 1953. They shared 49 happy years of marriage before Earl’s passing in 2002 and raised five children: David (Deb) Moeller, Nancy (John) Garcia, Rick (Kathie) Moeller, Karen (David) Thinnes, and Dr. Annette (Gary) Moore. Family life was full and joyful, centered on childrens’ activities, family trips, the apple orchard, and celebrations. Regina also continued working at the family orchard and later for her brother Bob’s company, RFK Transportation.

In 2004, Regina married Paul Pisarik. Together they enjoyed 15 joyful years filled with family, dancing, and shared adventures, including many international trips.

A long-time member of St. Ludmila Catholic Church and St. Monica’s Circle, Regina lived her faith through service. She brought communion to the homebound for many years and, following the 2008 flood, she and Paul delivered meals and water to the St. Ludmila’s area, offering prayers and comfort. Regina had a green thumb and a love for gardening, delighted in hosting family and friends, was known for her wonderful kolaches, and lovingly made Lady Baltimore cakes for birthdays—a cherished family tradition. She especially treasured her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother.

Regina is survived by her five children; nine grandchildren: Anthony Moeller, Rebecca Moeller, Lindsay Patterson, Megan Sieve, Victor Pilcher-Moeller, Mary Herold, Dr. William Thinnes, Dr. Robert Thinnes, and Julia Moore; six great-grandchildren; her brother, Robert Kazimour; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in eternal life by her husbands, Earl and Paul; her parents; and her siblings John Kazimour, Mary Katherine Cacioppo, Helen Secrist, and Rita Sears.

Visitation will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 18, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids with a rosary at 3:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 19, at St. Ludmila Catholic Church, followed by a luncheon. Burial at St. John’s Cemetery follows the luncheon.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at Keystone Place and the doctors, nurses, and hospice team at Mercy.
