Richard “Dick” Henry Enneking, 91, of Marion, Iowa, died Saturday, August 15, 2026. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, August 24, 2026, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion. A funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion.

Dick was born on December 18, 1934, in Nemaha County, Kansas, the son of Alphonse and Margaret (Ketter) Enneking. He graduated from St. Bede's Catholic School. He married Billie Dee Price on March 16, 1987. Dick owned and operated Enneking Plumbing and Heating in Marion for many years until his retirement in 2001

Dick was a faithful parishioner at St. Joseph Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a man of many talents and hobbies. A self-taught guitarist with a love for western music, he also enjoyed woodworking, gardening, fishing, playing card games, Sudoku, and collecting coins and treasures. An avid Cubs fan, Dick’s greatest joy came from the time spent with those he cared for. He was fiercely devoted to his family and faith, loving everyone around him deeply.

Dick is survived by his children, Nancy (Dennis) Rice of North Carolina, Dennis (Peggy) Enneking of Marion, Kathy Bissell of Coralville, Iowa, and Sharon Enneking of Marion; son-in-law, Dan Thede of Indianola, Iowa; stepchildren, Jim (Donna Wernett) Blood of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Dick (Michelle) Blood and Joe (Roxanne) Blood, both of Fairfax, Iowa, and Dan (Rebecca) Quinby of Cedar Rapids; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his siblings, Mary Jane Copeland, Jim (Charlene) Enneking, Chuck (Kathy) Enneking, Vera (Lynn) Kramer, Lucy (John) Jones, Joseph (Mary) Enneking, Maurice Enneking, Lynn (Susan) Enneking, Glen (Judith) Enneking; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alphonse and Margaret Enneking; wife, Billie Dee Enneking; daughter, Julie Thede; brother, Ken (Pat) Enneking; stepson, Charles Blood; son-in-law, Dennis Bissell; and niece, Lisa Enneking.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Luke’s Hospice or St. Joseph Catholic Church.
