Richard Joe Kosina, 80, of Walker, died Friday, October 16, 2009, at his home following a long illness. Inurnment: Walker Cemetery. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Walker.
Survivors include his daughter, Kimberly (Jeff) Gater of Wellington, Florida; and two grandchildren, Chris and Nick.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Beulah O’Donnell and Helen Johnson.
Richard was born March 21, 1929, the son of Frank and Olga (Simank) Kosina in Walker. He served with the Airborne Division during the Korean Conflict. Richard retired from Quaker Oats. He enjoyed music and playing the steel guitar.
