Richard P. Trimble, 77, of Urbana, Iowa, died Saturday, February 17, 2007, in his home following a short illness. Burial: 2:00 p.m.,Tuesday, February 20, 2007, Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Memorial Service: 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 20, 2007, at Urbana Christian Church, Urbana by the Rev. Tom Felts. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Per Dick?s request, there will be no public viewing. Survivors include his children, Patsy (Joe) Byrnes of La Crosse, Wisconsin, Paul (Robin) Trimble of Urbana and Roy Trimble of Urbana; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister, Barbara Boesenberg of Cedar Rapids; and brother, Dr. Dan (Karen) Trimble of Marion.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marlene; and two brothers, Jon and Jerry.
Richard was born November 8, 1929, in Eldora, Iowa, the son of Harvey and Edna (Cherry) Trimble. On August 26, 1951, he married Marlene Horning in Marion, Iowa. She died September 18, 2003.
Richard was a farmer, drove school bus and worked for Farmers Sales & Service in Vinton. He was a member of the Urbana Christian Church, delivered Meals on Wheels, loved to play golf and was a member of the Lions Club.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Richard?s memory.
