RitaMae E. Boge, 68, of Manchester died October 1, 2009 at Grandview Care Center, Oelwein, IA following a lengthy illness.

Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 5, 2009 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Manchester by Rev. John Flaherty. Family will greet friends from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m., Sunday, October 4 at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester, Iowa where there will be a 7:00 Scripture Service. Burial will be in the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Manchester.

RitaMae was born June 28, 1941 in Dubuque, the daughter of Richard and Henrietta (Dingbaum) Kluesner. Attending school in Farley, she graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in 1959. On June 28, 1960, RitaMae was united in marriage to James Boge at the St. Joseph’s Church, Farley.

RitaMae raised her family, and in 1984 and 1985 she went to work for Manchester Livestock Auction and Manchester Library as the Asst. Librarian She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters, and the St. Gerard Study Club, the Assumption Choir and the Manchester Sweet Adelines. RitaMae was a talented person enjoying flowers, reading, sewing, and singing. Her grandkids were very important to her and enjoyed their many activities.
RitaMae is survived by her husband, James Boge of Manchester; her father, Richard L. Kluesner of Farley; her mother-in-law, Calista Boge of Manchester; nine children; Laura (Brad) Lewin and Allan (Ruth) Boge both of Manchester, Richard Boge of Waterloo, Janet (David) Zitelman of Strawberry Point, Ann (John) Bixler of Seaside, CA, JoAnn (Troy) Hand of Cedar Rapids, Michael (Bonnie) Boge of Kieler, WI; Donna (Tim) Mastin of Manchester, and Lisa (Stephen) Blair of Little Rock, AR; seventeen grandchildren and one great-grandchild; five siblings, Richard (Jo) Kluesner of Sommers, CT, Marlene (Lloyd) Till of Farley, Shirley (Gerald) McDermott of Cascade, Marietta (Daniel) Ostwinkle of Cascade, and Ted (Diane) Kluesner of Dubuque.

RitaMae was preceded in death by her mother, Henrietta (Dingbaum) Kluesner, her father-in-law, Leander Boge; and a brother in-law, Kenneth Boge.
