Robert Nathan Bird, 67, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Wednesday, December 25, 2013.Family and friends gathering at Wild Hogs in Walford Saturday, December 28, 2013, at 4p.m.
Survivors include his daughter, Marie Homan of Reinbeck, Iowa; two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Bobbi; and siblings, Sharon Gorman of Nebraska, Sue Reinbolz of Nebraska and Denny Bird of North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patty; and brother, LeRoy.
Robert was born on October 30, 1946, in Belle Plaine, Iowa, son of Charles and Louise (Tate) Bird. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Robert worked at Amana Refrigeration for over 37 years.
