Robert Richard "Bob" Ferreter

Robert “Bob” Richard Ferreter, 47, of 3809 Spruce Wood Ct. NE, died suddenly in his home, Thursday, September 6, 2007. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 10, 2007, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Rev. Ron Connerly. The family will greet friends from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Gretchen; six children, Vicki, Mitchell, Jonathon, Liam, Pierce, and Dorothy; two brothers, Marc Ferreter of Milaca, Minnesota and Bill (Mary) Ferreter of Kansas City, Missouri; and three sisters, Mary (Wm) Stanley of Marion, Margaret Ferreter of Cedar Rapids, and Lois (Rod) Ocenosak of Marion.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bob was born September 7, 1959, the son of Edward and Eileen (Miller) Ferreter in Cedar Rapids. He graduated from Central City High School in 1977 and then attended the University of Northern Iowa and Kirkwood Community College. On December 23, 2000, he married Gretchen L. Babeshoff at Noelridge Christian Church in Cedar Rapids. Bob was a member of New Beginnings Church.
Bob was a true example of the love of God. He had the heart of an artist and was unique and creative. He was a wonderful husband and father who will be greatly missed.
A memorial fund has been established in Bob’s memory.
