Robert “Bobby” Chasley Jacobs, 48, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at home. In agreement with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be planned at a later date. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Marion is assisting the family.

Bobby was born on August 31, 1977, in Washington, Iowa, the son of Robert Charles and Carla Ann (Deaton) Jacobs. He graduated from Highland High School in 1994 and went on to build a steady career as a process worker for International Paper. In his younger years, he had a love for motorcycles. In 2012, he met the love of his life, Lisa Quint, and together they made their home in Marion. Bobby found joy in life’s simple pleasures and the hobbies that brought people together. He enjoyed hunting, spending time outdoors, and getting lost in a good book. He liked to pick up his guitar now and then, often with a smile and a laugh about his own skills. He took pride in smoking meat and attending cooking seminars with Grill Works, always willing to share good food with others. Bobby had a special place in his heart for cats and animals of all kinds, especially the playfulness of river otters. He was also a fan of Dale Earnhardt and Hank Williams Jr. Bobby will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Bobby is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife, Lisa Quint of Marion, Iowa; mother, Carla (BJ) Martinez of Joplin, Missouri; sisters, Jennifer Simmons of Joplin, Missouri, and Michelle (Rayme) Schuerer of Amana, Iowa; nieces and nephews, Jacob (Kayla) Powers, Madalyn Powers, DeLaney Powers, Jesse Schuerer, Macey Schuerer, and Paige Quint; in-laws, Bob and Barb Quint; brother-in-law, Brian Quint; and his beloved cats, Chuck, Annie, Bella, and Hank; many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert C. Jacobs, and by his beloved dog, Princeton.
