Roberta (Blanchard) Bulman, 76, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack on September 10, 2026. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, is assisting the family.
Roberta was born on November 8, 1949, to Howard and Frances (Ozburn) Blanchard. She graduated from Benton Community High School and later married Randy Bulman. Together they had three children: Erica, Tara, and Jason.
Roberta dedicated many years of service to the University of Iowa Hospitals, where she worked until her retirement in 2012. Following retirement, she continued working at McDonald's for many years, enjoying the friendships and connections she made there.
Above all else, Roberta loved her family. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were always in her thoughts, and she took great pride in their lives and accomplishments. She enjoyed reading books, playing games on her tablet, and spending time with her beloved dog, Stella, who brought her endless companionship and joy.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Erica (Troy) Ballard of Hills, Iowa, Tara Bulman of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Jason (Brandy) Bulman of Jordan, Minnesota; her cherished fur child, Stella Anne; her grandchildren, Stephen (Lisa) O'Malley, Tyler O'Malley, Paige (Ryan) Goebel, Maddison Bulman, and Logan Ballard; great-grandchildren, Ellie, Mayson, Alena, Niko, Don’Tray, Davina, Da’Kauri, and Daloni; and her sister-in-law, Doreen Blanchard of Keystone, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Frances Blanchard; her brother, Cliff Blanchard; her sisters, Karen Cohrt, Kathy "Putt" Anderson, and Carol Meyers; and her nephews, Jamie Blanchard and Robert Hathaway Jr.
Roberta will be remembered for her love of family, her caring heart, her quiet strength, and the joy she found in life's simple pleasures.
