Roberta A. "Bobbie? Sheneberger, 71, of Hiawatha, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 4, 2006, after a sudden illness while vacationing in Arizona. Services: 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 10, 2006, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Ronald Connerly. The family will greet friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 9, 2006, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include three sisters, Patricia (Ormal) Williams of Cedar Rapids, Sharon Wells of Glendale, Arizona, and Frances Sheneberger of Hiawatha; a sister-in-law, Carol Sheneberger of Cedar Rapids; and a brother-in-law, Dwight Wicke of Cedar Rapids.

A very important part of Bobbie?s life were her 16 nieces and nephews and their families, Mike (Glenda) Williams, Jeffrey Sheneberger, Chad Sheneberger, Kristin (Steve) Smith, all of Cedar Rapids; Ron (Alice) Williams, Kim (Simpson) Nguyen, Hieu (Gam) Nguyen, all of Des Moines, Iowa, Missy (Larry) Wells, Tom Wells, Susan Wells, all of Glendale, Arizona, Jim (Lydia) Wells, Henderson, Nevada, Judy (Dennis) Bachman, Tucson, Arizona, Cindy (Justin) LaPeer, Spring, Texas, Jennifer (Haibert) Nguyen, Tomball, Texas, Michelle Nguyen of Houston, Texas, and Da (Dung) Nguyen of Joplin, Missouri; 35 great-nieces and nephews; and ten great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Kay Wicke; a brother, Michael Sheneberger; and a brother-in-law, Daniel Wells.

Bobbie was born to Emmett Andrew and Arlene Ray (Lodestein) Sheneberger on September 8, 1934, at the family farm in rural Benton County. The family moved to Cedar Rapids when she was two years old. A 1952 graduate from Franklin High School, she worked for Neisner?s Five and Dime Store, Grant?s Department Store and from 1966-1994 at Rockwell Collins.

Bobbie was a member of New Beginnings Church where she worshiped and served God faithfully. She also was a member of Maine Odd Fellows #643, Home Rebekah Lodge #79, Linn Unified Encampment #49, and Rainbow Canton and Auxillary #22. A devoted sister and aunt, Bobbie was a very vital member of her large family. She will be missed and forever remembered with love.
