Roger Duane Lee

Roger Duane Lee, 82, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa passed into eternal life with Jesus on May 16, 2026.

Roger was born to Maurice and Ardith Lee on July 17, 1943, in Highland Park, Michigan. He graduated from Stanton High School (Michigan) in 1961 as class valedictorian. Roger attended Wheaton College in Chicago and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1965. During college, Roger met the love of his life, Virginia Baughman, and they married in April of 1965. He also attended Bethel Seminary near Minneapolis for one year in 1966. In 1990, the couple moved to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. After Virginia retired in 2006, the couple relocated to Kenyon, Minnesota. They spent 61 wonderful years together raising their daughter and doing the Awana Children’s Program in their local church.

Roger’s professional career included working for CPT Corporation, a company that designed and produced dedicated word-processing computers in the 1970’s and 1980’s.

Roger enjoyed playing the church organ and helping his wife Virginia in the Awana Program. Roger and Virgina served the Lord in their local church for many years.

He is survived by his lovely wife, Virginia; two sisters, Sonya and Lennie; a daughter, Tamara, and a grandson, Xavier.

No services will be held. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids assisted the family.
