Roger Clyde Pflughaupt, 70, of Coggon, died Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Memorial Mass: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2011, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Coggon by Rev. Wayne Droessler. Family will greet friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2011, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion, with a Rosary beginning at 4:00 p.m. Inurnment: Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Coggon.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn; four children, Eric (Kandy) Pflughaupt, Terry (Jeni) Pflughaupt, Nick Pflughaupt, and Cyndi Pflughaupt; grandchildren, Bryanna, Collin, and Angus Pflughaupt; step-grandchildren, Will and Nick McCarry; and brothers, Ronnie (Sandy) Pflughaupt, and Dennis (Nancy) Pflughaupt.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Max.
Roger was born October 25, 1940, in Anamosa, the son of Glenn and Iola Maxine (Johnson) Pflughaupt. On January 13, 1961, Roger was united in marriage to Marilyn Carol Mills in Coggon. He retired from the Linn County Secondary Roads Department, where he worked as a heavy-equipment operator.
