Rose Ellen Ulrich, 86, of Springville, died Wednesday, September 29, 2004, at Linn Manor Care Center in Marion, following a short illness. Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Monday, October 4, 2004, at Springville United Methodist Church by Pastors John Keizer and Clive Cook. Burial: Springville Cemetery.
Survivors include her children, Patricia (Mike) Postle of Minneapolis, Kent (Mary Jean) Ulrich of Ft. Dodge and Tom (Robin) Ulrich of Center Point; two brothers, Tom and Fred Saxion, both of Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren, Roman, Michael, Chris, Nick, Brent, Alex, Rusty, Don and Ed; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ken; a son, Mike; five brothers, Ned, Homer, Hugh, Paul and Jack.
Rose was born November 23, 1917, the daughter of Wilbur and Mae Saxion in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania. On February 19, 1939, she married Kenneth Ulrich in Pennsylvania. He died December 27, 1987. Rose was a member of Springville United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Order of the Eastern Star, Past Worthy Matron.
