Rosemary Jean Martin, 89, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Keystone Cedars in Cedar Rapids. A Memorial Service will be held at noon on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, Iowa, where a visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until the service time. Inurnment will be at a later date at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.

Rosemary was born on April 20, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Salvadore and Katherine (O’Grady) Radosta. She graduated from high school in Chicago and graduated college from Webber International University in Florida. On October 11, 1958, Rosemary was united in marriage to James “Jim” Ellsworth Martin at St. Hilary Catholic Church in Chicago. They raised four children together and celebrated their 56th anniversary, before he passed away in 2015.

Rosemary had a long career as a Medical Technician at St. Luke’s Hospital, until her retirement in 1997. She was a lifelong member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. Rosemary was active in her community and was a member of the American Legion Post 298 Auxiliary and the Republican Party Precinct Chairperson for many years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Rosemary is survived and lovingly remembered by her four children, Steven (Barbara) Martin, Kayt (Lorry Stanton) Martin-Stanton, Eileen (Howie) Johnston, and Jim (Joan) Martin; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim Martin; grandson, Zach Martin; granddaughter, Bonnie Humbert; sister, Ellen Mattson; and brother, Greg Radosta.

Memorials in Rosemary’s memory may be directed to the American Legion Post 298.
