Sally S. Loughren, 70, of Central City, Iowa, passed away at her home on Thursday, May 5, 2016. Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2016, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Central City. Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Vicky Ingelmann with a lunch to follow at the Central City American Legion Wapsie Post #421.
Survivors include her husband, John; two sons, Mike (Dawn) Loughren of Coggon, Iowa, and Mark Loughren of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; five grandchildren, Amanda, Brenden, Heather, Jonathan and Jordyn; three great-grandchildren, Riley, Kenzie and Mikeal; twin brother, Sam (Duger) Rudd; and sister, Judy (Al) Heims.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Gary Rudd and Joey Rudd.
Sally was born on Sunday, July 15, 1945, in Mechanicsville, Iowa, the daughter of Samuel “Archie” and Dora “Louise” (Johnson) Rudd. On August 31, 1968, she married John Loughren in Marion with a reception for the family and friends to follow in Prairieburg. She retired from Rockwell Collins in 2003. Sally enjoyed camping, stock car races, reading, quilting, and spending time with her family and friends.
