Shane M. Toms

Shane M. Toms, 58, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Friday, March 27, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at The Legacy Center at Murdoch-Linwood, Cedar Rapids.

Shane was born August 11, 1967, in Cedar Rapids, the son of James and Kathleen (O’Neal) Toms. He graduated from Marcos De Niza High School in Tempe, Arizona. On October 2, 2010, Shane married Rhonda Marie Andrews (Gudenkauf) in Moravia, Iowa. He enjoyed photography and refurbishing vintage pinball machines, and was known for his great sense of humor. Above all else, he cherished time spent with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Andrews Toms; his son, Sawyer Toms; his stepson, Tyler Andrews; his mother, Kathleen Toms; his father and stepmother, James “Jim” and Peg Toms; his brother, Jason (Angie) Toms; his sister, Allison (John) Jacobs; and many nieces and nephews.
