Sharon Ann Pfab, 69, of Central City, Iowa, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2020, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Brody Tubaugh. Burial will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Coggon.
Sharon was born on March 23, 1950, in Ely, Iowa, the daughter of Wesley and Lenora (Barta) Buresh Sr. She graduated from Prairie High School and was united in marriage to Donald Pfab on March 7, 1975. Sharon was previously employed at Quaker Oats and has since farmed full time for 45 years with her husband Donald. Being a true farmer, she helped in all aspects of the farming operation and running their dairy operation with her pride being bottle feeding her calves. Sharon also enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening as well as canning. She was a very giving individual and never expected anything in return. Sharon will be missed by all who knew and loved her. And she also loved her grand dog, Bently the black lab.
She is survived by her husband, Donald T. Pfab of Central City; daughter, Shelly (Joe) Marugg of Monticello; and brothers, Glenn (Frances) Buresh, Benjamin Buresh, and Wesley (Marge) Buresh, Jr. all of Ely; “adopted daughter”, Lisa Gericke of Urbana; several nieces and nephews, Sally Trenkamp of Dyersville, Virginia Pfab, Leona Roling, Cliff Pfab all of Peosta, Eldon Pfab of Prairieburg, , and Elaine and LaVerne Tippett of Belmont, Wisconsin;
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law, Ranae Buresh; and niece, Debbie Buresh, her mother and father-in-law, Alojus and Loretta Pfab; sister-in-law, Janet Pfab; brothers-in-law, Paul Pfab, Leo Pfab, Ralph Trenkamp, and Al Roling.
A Memorial Fund has been established in Sharon’s memory.
