Shirley J. Watson, 80, of 1303 Oakland Road N.E., Cedar Rapids, died Thursday October 27, 2005, in her home after a long illness. Services are pending. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her son, Richard (Milissa) Watson of Cedar Rapids; and four grandchildren, Nathan Bast, David Bast, Cassie Bast and Mitchell Mills. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Rus.
Shirley was born February 19, 1925, in Pomona, California, the daughter of Fred and Hazel Froede. She was a homemaker who liked going out to the country for drives and sports, especially baseball, and the Miami Dolphins.
