Stanley "Stan" Earl Coleman

Stanley “Stan” Earl Coleman, of Marion, Iowa, formerly of Toddville, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at the age of 77. A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026, at the funeral home, with a private family burial to follow. 

Stan was born on June 28, 1948, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Earl and June (Farrington) Coleman. He graduated from Alburnett High School as a part of the class of 1966; then enlisted to serve his country in the United States Navy. On September 12, 1970, Stan was united in marriage to Deborah “Deb” Bemiss in West Union. After being honorably discharged from the US Navy, Stan worked for Norand/Intermec Technologies, in addition to farming in the Toddville area. After retiring, Stan utilized his handyman skills completing tasks for family and friends, as well as recently acquiring and restoring five John Deere crank-start tractors. Stan will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Stan is survived and lovingly remembered by his children, Eric (Kari) Coleman of Johnston, Iowa, Amy (Thomas) Wright of Monticello, Iowa, and Stacey (Chad) Regennitter of Marion; fourteen grandchildren, Noah and Nicholas Coleman, Austin (Ashley), Andrue (Maddie), Gabriel, Gatlin and Emerlynn Wright, Noelle, Jakob, Jarred, Rebeckah and Clairre Regennitter; one great-granddaughter, Hayley Deborah Wright; and one soon to be born great-grandson, Stanley Ford Wright; as well as his brother, Doug (Betty) Coleman of Lake Ozark, Missouri. 

He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Deb; his father, Earl Coleman; mother, June Mitchell; and infant daughter, Carrie Anne Coleman. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family, which will be distributed to charities held dear to Stan and Deb, which include No Foot Too Small, The MS Foundation, and Lovely Lane Church.
