Stephanie L. Ronald, 70, died on "July 22, 2026", in her home with her husband, children, and sister at her side from incurable recurrent cancer, and will be cremated. An informal memorial visitation with family and close friends will be held on August 8, 2026, at the family residence.

Steph was born in London, Ontario, Canada, on May 1, 1956, but lived her entire life in the United States. Her childhood was spent in Taylor, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. She became a naturalized citizen at age 16. She attended Michigan Technological University, earning her Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering in 1979. She married Norm on Sept 6, 1986, in Allen Park, Michigan, a happy union of 39 years.

She worked for Rockwell Collins for 32 years, retiring in 2011. She worked on both the government and commercial sides. She held many positions during her time at Rockwell, including design engineer, project engineer, systems engineer, safety engineer, group manager, customer support manager, and technical director. These positions gave her the opportunity to travel to places that would have otherwise remained unseen by her, including spots in the USA, Canada, Spain, Germany, and Indonesia. She learned early in her career to give higher priority to working with good people rather than working the "right" job. She loved to share a good laugh with family, friends, and co-workers, usually with a beer in hand.

After retiring, she slept more, read more, watched more movies, traveled more (lots of national parks and some trailer life), and started in on 2 new hobbies - photography and sewing (not really that great at either one!). She was thrilled that her daughter Katherine, as an adult, learned to play cribbage - some great games were played. Her greatest joy came from the successes of her family members. Although not with us anymore, she's there in spirit whenever a glass is raised by family and/or friends.

Steph is survived by her husband, Norman G. Lewis; her son, Jonathan (Katelyn Garfield) Lewis; her daughter, Katherine Lewis; her stepdaughter, Tiffany (Andy) Beer; her stepson, Brian (Hilary) Lewis; her older brother, Gregory (Denise) Ronald; and younger sisters, Beth Ronald, and Suzanne (Kristen Miller) Ronald.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Bunny (F. Suzanne Bleakley) Ronald.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Steph’s memory may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
