Terry C. Potter, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa died Sunday, January 25, 2026, at age 91. Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Friday, February 6, 2026, with visitation to begin at 10 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Cedar Rapids. A luncheon will immediately follow the service at the church. Private burial will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, is assisting the family.

Born in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Courtney and Ruth Potter, he is survived by his wife of 64 years, Judith Potter; daughters, Sharon Mitchler and Ann Potter; son-in-law, Alan Bechtold and his wife, Sue; sister, Linda Toavs; grandson and his wife, Eric and Sara Bechtold; great-grandchildren, Lydia, Caleb, and Nathaniel; sister-in-law, Valerie Pfeiffer; many cousins, nieces and nephews, and extended family.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kathleen Bechtold; son-in-law, Steve Mitchler; two sisters and their husbands, Muriel and Golden Clark, and Rosy and Tom Thornton; and brother-in-law, Ted Pfeiffer.

Terry was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from General Mills after 32 years. Terry began with the company in Minneapolis, Minnesota and came to Cedar Rapids as part of the start-up team for the plant here. He served on the City Council of Swisher, Iowa. Terry was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and a faithful follower of the Lord.
