Thelma J. Eckert, 97, a resident of Northbrook Manor, formerly of Center Point, died Wednesday, January 15, 2003, at the care center. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 17, 2003, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call from 4-8, Thursday at the funeral home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors are K. E. "Joe? Eckert of Center Point and Karen Klinkhammer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie R. Eckert; her parents; a daughter, Charlotte; and a son, Archie Jr.
Thelma was born August 28, 1905, in Belle Plaine, Iowa. She married Archie R. Eckert on September 12, 1924. He died in March of 1979. Thelma was a member of Olivet Presbyterian Church, Daughter?s of the Nile, White Lillie O.E.S. and Social Order Beauceant. Thelma was a homemaker.
